Vanilla Floating Island with Caramel Sauce



A sumptuous dessert from the Swiss and French cuisine with a delicious vanilla and caramel taste

Ingredients

Meringues

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 large egg whites
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 8ml SPRIG All Natural Vanilla Extract or 1 split SPRIG Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Bean Pod

Vanilla bean pod

  • Caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1-2 tsps SPRIG Demerara Sugar infused with Real Vanilla / Cinnamon
  • 2tbsp butter
  • 100 ml cream

Procedure

  • Drop the colours on the inside of a glass and twirl it so that the colours spread.
  • Mix the vanilla sugar with the cola and lemon juice.
  • Fill the glass with crushed ice pour the cola mix and top with vanilla ice cream.
  • Garnish with nuts.
