Pancake with Spicy Meat Sauce



Spicy Meat Sauce
  • 1 cup minced meat
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic clove
  • 2 tsp Sprig Bhut Jolokia Sauce
  • 2 cup tomato puree
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Sprig Black Pepper
  • Salt
Savoury Pancake
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted, plus more for skillet
  • 1/4 tsp salt


Spicy Meat Sauce
  • In a large saucepan, cook minced meat and onion over medium heat until mostly browned, for about 5 minutes; drain if desired
  • Stir in garlic until fragrant, for about 30 seconds
  • Add other ingredients and slow cook for 10 to 15 minutes
  • The sauce is ready; add water if needed.
Savoury Pancake
  • Sift flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
  • Add sugar, egg, melted butter to warm milk and mix well. Add this mixture to flour and make a batter. If needed add more milk.
  • Heat a skillet and brush the skillet with melted butter. Pour 1/4 cup of batter into the centre of the skillet and spread into a circular circle.
  • Let it cook for a minute and you can see small bubbles forming on top. Flip it over and cook the other side for a minute. Serve immediately with spicy meat sauce.
